Pearls for Fall

Pearls for Fall

Fall favorites - Pearls in all shapes and sizes

I’ve been using pearls in my designs for over twenty five years, but this year pearls have gotten a huge boost into mainstream jewelry. While pearls were once thought of as staid, older lady jewelry, they are now fun, edgy, and chic ways to experience these luminous beauties.

Styles and shapes of pearls have evolved from pure round which are harder to find now- into the more organic shapes like baroque and flameball pearls.

I love to include shapes such as square, rectangle, coin, baroque, keishi, and Tahitian pearls in my designs. Many years ago I combined a necklace with turquoise and pearls, and some people were surprised that I thought to combine a casual stone like turquoise with the peach colored pearls I had used! That was over twenty years ago, so I know that isn’t a surprise combination anymore- but it shows how the pearl has gained inclusion in all types of jewelry designs. We’ve come a long way baby!!

The unique shapes and uneven bumps make these types of pearls a fun way to express your individuality. Each pearl is as unique as the wearer.

Pearls do require care - no showering or swimming in chlorinated water. Also, perfume and hand lotion isn’t good for the surface. Simply rub a soft cloth on them if they get dull.
